who we are:
two wordsmiths hammering away at flash fiction in Asheville, North Carolina. for now, we'll post a story every friday--flash friday.
who we publish:
you. if you're good enough. we like Asheville writers, Western North Carolina writers, and, then, those from the greater universe. hey, itâs our blog.
what we don't like:
- political or religious proselytizing
- porn (well we do, but just not here)
- typos (donât trust your spell checkâproofread)
- dumb grammatical errors
- submit your 1000 word or shorter fiction piece to flashus@flasheville.com. include your work in the body of the e-mail with a word count and a short (one or two sentences) biography of yourself, with a link to your website or blog if you have one. failure to follow guidelines will result in public flogging.
- we will e-mail you if and when we publish your piece. all fiction is open to comments from the public. if you canât take the heat, stay out of Flasheville.
- weâll be running occasional contests and the like, once we get our shit together.
- all writing on this site is copyrighted and belongs to the individual author.

Submit your incredibly excellent flash, now
I'm convinced that people don't write in the summer unless they are forced. Otherwise, why are we not getting lots of juicy flash submissions to this lovely site?
I know you're out there. I know you're reading. I know you're thinking about writing or you have some writing you're sitting on because you think it sucks. I know you're wondering why we haven't posted anything in weeks. Because we need you--your excellent, yummy flash fiction. We'll let you know if it really sucks--or not. Send it to me. NOW. Writerly News
